Project Intent: The LUNA Counselling Centre has been providing services for victims since 2014. Since 2018, the Counselling Centre LUNA is an accredited entity within the meaning of Act No. 448/2008 on social services and on amendment and supplementation of Act No. 455/1991 Coll. on trade business (Trade Licensing Act), as amended, and since 01.01.2021 it has been an accredited entity within the meaning of Act No. 274/2017 Coll. on victims of crimes. It specializes in professional assistance to women experiencing violence in partner relationships and victims of domestic violence. It provides specialised social, legal and psychological counselling.
Project Objective: The aim of the professional assistance is to provide victims with professional assistance in accordance with § 5 (3) and (4) of Act No.274/2017 on Victims of Crimes and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended ("Act on Victims of Crimes"). The objects of assistance will be victims of crimes of abuse of a close person and a person entrusted to them and victims of domestic violence and dangerous stalking in the Trenčín and Ilava districts.
Project outcome: Provision of free services of the Counselling Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence for the year 2021. 56 women benefited from the free services of the Counselling Centre, while legal, social and psychological counselling was provided 172 times.
