Project grant: City of Trenčín in the amount of 1 500€
Project objectives: Establishing and equipping workplaces in the Women's Safe House for occupational therapy in the form of food and meal preparation, and for occupational therapy in the form of creative activities.
Project evaluation: The project managed to set up and equip two rooms for occupational therapy purposes - a common kitchen and creative workshops. The strengthening of skills in preparing meals and dishes is aimed at independence, developing and consolidating habits in providing basic needs for themselves and their children. Occupational therapy in the form of creative workshops develops abilities, talents and skills, promotes self-esteem, improves physical and mental functions. The activity in the workshops is focused on the production of "hand made" products, using different working techniques - working with wax, making arrangements, working with crystal resin, textiles, knitting paper, etc. Women as well as their children take part in the workshops.
