In the counselling centre we provide specialized social counselling to victims of domestic and gender-based violence - women and their children, on the basis of accreditation granted by the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, in accordance with Act 448/2008 Coll.
Counselling shall be provided on an outpatient basis, in the field, or in another form, in particular by telephone or by using telecommunication technologies, where appropriate.
The provision of special counselling is guided by the needs of the victims. The great advantage of the counselling centre is the free provision of services, accessibility, knowledge of the issues and, if necessary, the possibility of arranging safe housing in the LUNA Women's Safe House.
The aim of counselling for victims of domestic violence is to try to support them in gaining the inner strength that will help them gain control over their lives and improve their quality of life.
