Purpose and objective of the project: The main objective of the project is to ensure the continuation and development of the safe women's home and counselling centre, administered by the non-profit organisation LUNA, in the regional city of Trenčín. The intention of the project is to increase the quality, professionalism and effectiveness of services provided to victims of domestic and gender-based violence, which will ensure the availability of services to address the acute crisis life situation of the target group, also taking into account the children who often witness partner and domestic violence, which seriously damages their mental and personal development. The requested financial assistance is to bridge the unfavourable financial situation of the organisation for a period of 4 months, as in December 2021 the grant funding from the budget reserve of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic will end and from 01.05.2022 the funding should continue on the basis of the already submitted project to the call of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic as the administrator of the programme "Domestic and Gender-Based Violence" implemented under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

Project results: Thanks to the project, women and their children received comprehensive help and support from professional staff, which positively affected their quality of life in the areas of safety, health, housing, finances, employment, and socialization. During the months of January 2022 to April 2022, social counselling was provided by a social worker 128 times  22 clients in individual form and 14 times in group form. The special educator provided individual pedagogical and special-educational counselling 17 times to 8 women and 23 children.  The interventions provided by the professional staff had a positive impact on the mother-child relationship - strengthening the relational bond, processing traumatic experiences, personal development with subsequent independence.
